Who we are
ELIXIR Cloud & AAI is a Driver Project of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH), led by the ELIXIR Compute Platform. As such we are committed to help develop, promote and adopt GA4GH standards and policies, and, vice versa, represent ELIXIR interests and use cases within the GA4GH.
Our Vision
We envision a world in which
- User-friendly interfaces empower researchers, healthcare practicioners and patients to extract meaning out of data
- Data owners freely and fully decide who has access to their data and under what conditions and where the most stringent privacy laws and regulations are strongly enforced
- Data are maximally secured, at rest, in transit and during computations
Our Mission
The mission of the ELIXIR Cloud & AAI Driver Project is to:
Establish federated environments for population-scale analysis of (sensitive) biomedical and healt-related data
To achieve this goal, and in line with our commitment as a GA4GH Driver Project, our solutions rely heavily on standardized interfaces defined via the global life science community, in particular those set by the GA4GH (to which we are actively contributing).
